The Asian People's Disability Alliance (APDA) provides information, advice, advocacy and respite and day care services to Asian people with disabilities and the frail elderly, including those with physical, visual, hearing, mobility, social difficulties, learning difficulties, depression and other age related disabilities. It also works in partnership with service planners and other mainstream bodies to help incorporate the particular needs of APDA's client groups into their work, and acts as a resource for Asian disabled people, their carers and families for consultation, peer support, exchange of information and ideas etc. and as facilitators in their social development. APDA also offers training opportunities for disabled people.
