Recent research has indicated that people from black and minority ethnic communities experience unnecessary compulsory and coercive treatment within mental health services, with evidence also showing that many people have experienced racism and discrimination within and outside of these services.  This report showcases positive instances in which women have successfully combatted their mental distress, outlining methods that can help women in their healing process.
