This report was created in recognition of the varied and important work that is delivered by the black voluntary sector to people who have mental health and/or psychological needs. The project set out to discover how some of these organisations work and to disseminate learning from their experiences to other black organisations and the wider mental health care system.  Several key themes emerged (for example the importance of cultural sensitivity) and numerous recommendations for good practice were made (for example providing gender specific services).
