This report presents observations on the social health determinants and health status of patients who have received support from Doctors of the World (MdM) European programmes in 2013.  The programmes provide access to healthcare. Doctors of the World (MdM) reiterate the need for unconditional access to both antenatal care for pregnant women and to essential childhood vaccinations, neither of which are currently universally guaranteed. This amounts to a denial of rights which goes against basic human rights, international conventions and respect for the fundamental principles of public health.
